It has been said that a goal without a plan is a daydream. Policies support goals and timely decision-making. Making good decisions is a lot easier with good policies built on hard-earned wisdom. All policies are Decision Support Systems built on 3 core principals.
1. Policies are based on personal experience or wisdom of others.
2. Policies are guidelines that adapt to circumstances, not rules.
3. Policies are personal and tailored to the unique you.
Personal policies are software upgrades for the brain. Put together they can be the basis for a whole new mental operating system. Learning about policies that have worked well for other people can save you a lot of time and stress. Think of policies as the foundation supporting your bridge to an intentional future.

Bridges get you across obstacles, policies get you where you want to go in life. Everybody will have different policies supporting their pillars of health, resources, relationships, responsibility and creativity.
Think of policies as bits of the missing class from school, parts of a life resource manual and roadmap to success, however you define it. They are guideposts along the road of life telling you when to turn, stop, go back or charge forward. Policies adapt to change as it happens and keeps your actions on the same page with reality. Odds are you are already a walking talking policy machine and don’t even know it! Policies are rooted in beliefs that drive our behaviors on a subconscious level.
